The objective of LiteraturHaus is to promote, maintain and regenerate general interest in literature, and through this pave the way for the literature of tomorrow. To meet this objective, LiteraturHaus strives to be a space where audiences may experience literary efforts of both past and present, mainstream and fringe works, established and budding writers, national and international authors.
The objective is based on the assumption that literature is a dialogue which has always articulated the world of past, present and future. It is our hope that LiteraturHaus will contribute to propel this dialogue into the future of tomorrow, where it may re-articulate the already articulated by accentuating the new.
In other words, we hope that LiteraturHaus may serve as a platform for that Babel of voices whose dialogue permanently strives to voice the wor(l)d.
LiteraturHaus insists on being an inclusive space, which means that other art forms such as music, film and pictorial art will occasionally take centre-stage.
